Motivation Monday: Running For Your Life

Hey everyone,

Sorry I’ve been away for a few weeks then returned to move house, no excuses I know but I’m back now anyway so lets kick things back off with Motivation Monday!

Today’s video features a guy who since the age of 7 had always had a dream to run the Boston Marathon after seeing his father run it in 1968, but now he wanted to run it to also try to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis research due to his niece suffering with the condition.

The problem was he was age 46 and weighed 276lbs and couldn’t walk upstairs without getting out of breath. . . but he made a choice. A choice to change his live in June 2008 and he started to change his lifestyle and get active and he started to run, only a few yards at a time at first .. but he didn’t quit. He kept on pushing himself every day to stick to eating healthy and exercising then about 3 minutes into the video we see him again 9 months after he made a choice to change his life!

He is just one of thousands of people who decided to change their life for the better and he is no different to you. Anybody can do this.

Will there have been times when he fell off the wagon? Yes!

Will there have been times when he thought he had no motivation left and couldn’t keep on? Yes!

.. Because he is only human like the rest of us but he kept going and kept pushing forward and got the results and changed his life!

Don’t wait until Monday or tomorrow or next week, start NOW! If you fall off the wagon get back on and keep pushing forward and you will achieve your dreams.

 

There are 3 steps to getting the body of your dreams:

Step 1) Eat healthy every day (1 cheat meal per week is ok)

Step 2) Exercise 3-5 x per week

Step 3) Don’t make excuses why you can’t do steps 1 & 2
